Carter, Jr. (Betty) of Dillon; her sister Marie Sweat of Marion; her niece Patti Parker of Dillon; her grandchildren, Frankie Carter (Shae), Tesha Hyatt and Brooks Carter; and her stepgrandchildren, Bridget Locklear, Jimmy Lee Locklear, Brandy Jacobs, Ashley Huggins and Elaine Lane. She is also survived by 2 great-grandchild; and 12 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel (209 Black Branch Rd, Dillon, SC 29536). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at the Evergreen Perpetual Care Cemetery (2450 US-301, Dillon, SC 29536).
