She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Herring and Beatrice Ward Herring; her husband James Owens, Sr.; and her sons, James Owens, Jr. (Debbie) of Latta and Charles Owens.
She is survived by: her sons, Glenn Owens (Lisa) of Dillon and Carl Owens of Hartsville; and her siblings, Ernest Herring of Marion, Horace Herring of Marion and Mary Kate Roberts of Marion. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
