He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Leroy McDowell and Ruby Edge McDowell; and his brother Mike McDowell. He is survived by: his children, Danny Leroy McDowell, Jr. (Christonya) of Latta, SC, Marcus McDowell (Juli) of High Point, NC and Roxann "Little Rock" Wallace (Anthony) of Latta, SC; his brothers, Randall McDowell of Myrtle Beach, SC and Sam McDowell (Lynne) of Dillon, SC; and his grandchildren, Pam, Courtney, Alexis, Tamara, Sierra, Danny, Clayton and Isaac. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
