He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Jackson and Lunette Barfield Jackson; his uncle Billy Ray Barfield; his grandparents, Claude and Arnettie Barfield; and his mother-in-law Janice Roberts.

He is survived by: his son David Lee Jackson (Madison) of Mullins; his granddaughter McKinley Rae Jackson of Mullins; and his brother Johnny Wayne Barfield of Latta.
