He was predeceased by: his parents, C. A. "Dick" Bowen and Ethel Church Bowen. He is survived by: his wife Karen Bowen; his sons, Douglas Bowen (Lea Ann) of Pawley's Island and David Bowen; and his siblings, Johnny Marshall Bowen (Melba) of Kingstree, SC and Bonnie Sawyer (Sydney) of Hartsville, AL.. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
