She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Harrison Curtis and Addie Grace McCormick Curtis; her son William "Billy" Barnes; and her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Curtis Stanton and Patricia Curtis Lennon Huck.
She is survived by: her sister Brenda Curtis Hamilton (Allen) of Dillon, SC; her granddaughters, Jordyn Mooney (Shane) and Janie Barnes; her great grandchild Wade Mooney; and her boyfriend James "Acie" Grooms.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rowland Cemetery (222 Rowland Cemetery Rd, Rowland, NC 28383).
