He is survived by: his children, Dennis Anthony Elvington, Jr. of Asheboro, NC, Gladys Nicole Elvington of Asheboro, NC, Brandon Chad Elvington of Asheboro, NC, April Elvington of Asheboro, NC, Deana Broach of Darlington, SC and Alan Walters of Dillon, SC; his stepfather Stanley D. Poston of Florence; and his siblings, Howard Elvington (Kay) of Florence, SC, Kim Lynch of Raleigh, NC, Katrina Barnes of Florence, SC and Benny Elvington of Lake View, SC. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home (209 Black Branch Rd, Dillon, SC 29536). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Beulah Baptist Church (2331 Harllees Bridge Rd, Hamer, SC 29547).
