Mrs. Strickland was born in Scotland County, N.C., a daughter of the late Spurgeon Norton and Ava McLellan Norton.
She is survived by her children: Amanda Ervin, Dillon; sons: Steven and Joseph Ervin, both of Dillon; brothers, Wayne Norton, Little Rock, and James and Eugene Norton, both of Columbia; stepsons: Mitchell and John Strickland, both of Latta.
