With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard McLain Matthews Jr. of Dillon, South Carolina, who passed away on September 7, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard McLain Matthews, Sr. and Lillie Pearl Matthews; and his brother Jerry Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Victoria "Dot" Matthews of Dillon; his children, David Matthews (Tammie) of Spartanburg, SC, Elaine Winkeler (Robin) of Dillon and Jeff Matthews (Lisa) of Dillon; his grandchildren, Jessica Westbrooks (Luke), Bryan Matthews (Emmy), Matt Winkeler (Keely) and Ethan Winkeler (Allayne); and his great grandchildren, Lillie Winkeler, Lain Winkeler, Noah Winkeler and Jack Winkeler.
