She was predeceased by : her parents, Wade Collins and Catherine Thompson; her daughter Kimberly Dawn Byrd; her stepfather Walker Thompson; and her brothers, John Dale Collins and Wade Hampton Collins.

She is survived by : her son Barry Byrd, Jr. of Latta; her grandsons, Jeremy Byrd and Weston Byrd of Dillon; and her brother Michael Steven Collins.
