He was predeceased by: his parents, George Conward Polson and Mary Johnson Polson; his wife Nancy Edwards Polson; his son Kenneth Steven Polson; and his brothers, Charles and Ronnie Polson.
He is survived by: his daughter April Polson Lane (Stephen); his grandchildren, Courtney Cox (Matthew) of Dillon, Katelyn Hooks (Noah) of Hamer, Megan Webster (Chris English) of Floydale, Kenneth Zachary Polson (Jessyca Werfelan) of Latta, Taylor Polson (Keith Rippy) and Jessica Rogers (Dwayne Odom) of Marion; his great grandchildren, Jonah Hooks, Ivy Hooks, Ava Hooks, Kimberly Polson, Kenneth Blair Polson, Nathaniel Tucker, Nicholi Rogers, Kendra Rogers and Kashton Causey; and his close friends, Hope Lane, Lizzie Outlar McCaskill and Christonya Ransom.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home (209 Black Branch Rd, Dillon, SC 29536). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church (405 Mt Calvary Rd, Dillon, SC 29536).
