He is survived by: his daughters, Heather McLellan (James) of Hamer and Summer Coddington (Jacob) of Bennettsville; his stepsons, Jason Collins (Ashley) of Marion, Larry Collins of Dillon and Brandon Collins of Dillon; his grandchildren, Shayla Thompson, Zy'Kira McLellan, Amari Thompson, James McLellan Jr., Candace Hayes, Riley Collins, Noah Collin and Liam Collins; his great grandchildren, A'Lyric Robertson and Zy'Reiq Freeman; and his siblings, Kathleen Hyatt (Johnny), Ronnie Tyler (Carolyn), Dwayne Tyler (Alberta) and Jack Britt.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home (209 Black Branch Rd, Dillon, SC 29536). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
