It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn D. Thompson (Dillon, South Carolina), who passed away on December 12, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Davis and Eula Mae Barnhill Davis; her brother Ernest Davis; her half-sister Eloise Barnhill; and her great grandchildren, Marilyn and Natalie Logan.
She is survived by: her husband Sherwood "Digger" Thompson; her daughters, Melissa Thompson of Dillon, Diane Smith (Billy) of Marion and Crystal Thompson (Anthony "Pug" Alford) of Latta; her grandchildren, Ashley Ray (Matt), Jennifer Crawford (D. J. Coggins), Kristen Ray, Dallas Thompson, Kelsey Thompson (Joshua Herring), Mary Kathryn Smith and Tony Alford; her great grandchildren, Aiden, Hayleigh, Cailyn, Cameron, Crayten, Emrey and Logan; her sister-in-law Phyllis Herring (Ken); and her pet PupPup.
