He was predeceased by: his parents, Mendel Eugene Smith, Sr. and Doris Rogers Carmichael Smith. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Smith; his sisters, Ellen Bell of Little River and Cindy Smith of Little River; his brother-in-law Kem Stanton (Rose) of Dillon; his nieces and nephews, Mendel Bell (Jessica), Jaime Bell (Shane) of Little River, Amy Stanton of Goose Creek, SC, Kemper Stanton (Cynzia) of Manitoba and Jesse Miller (Avery) of Conway; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Taylor, Katelyn, Gray Bell, Grady and Domenic Stanton.
