He was predeceased by: his father Jerry John Hammonds; his grandparents, Martha S. Berry, Annie Lee Jacobs and Charles Jacobs; and his daughter Gabrielle "Gabby" Strickland.
He is survived by: his mother Marguerite Strickland Hammonds of Hamer; his brothers, Timothy C. Hammonds and Jerry Wayne Hammonds (Amber Hammonds); his children, Kylie Strickland (Wesley Anderson) and Michael Allen Strickland, Jr.; his friend Shannon Norton; and his aunt Pat Norris (Jessie Edwards Strickland). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
