She was predeceased by: her parents, Onlie Hamby and Essie Sexton Hamby; her husband James Edwin Brown; and her siblings, Senior Hamby of Glen Hamby, M. C, Donald Hamby and Reba Hamby Langley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon B. Shankle (Ernie) of Dillon and Patsy B. Burris (Mark) of Anderson, SC; her grandchildren, James Michael Hulon (Heather), Cory Burris (Brittany) and Ivey Parker (Nick); her great grandchildren, Jay, Henley Hulon, Ella, Maddox Burris, Jace and Pierce Parker; and her brother Dallas Wayne Hamby (Ida Mae) of Lancing, TN. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
