He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Miles Smith and Louise Johnson Smith; and his sister Paula Smith. He is survived by: his wife Betty M. Smith of Dillon; his daughter Kimberly Johnson (Gavin); his granddaughter Megan Brooke Johnson; his sisters, Linda Stuckey (William), Kathyrn Dubose (Rick) and Dianne Yarborough (Wayne); his brother-in-law Don Hyatt (Gwen); and his niece Nicki Moody (Brad). He is also survived by nephews and nephews.
