She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Lonnie Cox and Mae Burr Cox; her husband Alton Douglas Johnson (Doug); her son Alton Douglas Johnson III (Buddy); and her siblings, Ola Mae Hudson, Nellie Lane, Ruby Hodge, Maxine Hamer, Lonnie Cox and Harvey Cox.
She is survived by: her nibling Lord; her children, Kathy Johnson Small and David Allen Johnson; her grandchildren, Terry Small Jr. (Heather), Chad Small (Candace), David Johnson, II (Sabrina) and Steven Bethea (Miranda); her great grandchildren, Peyton Lee Small, Keith Allen Small, Emory Wayne Small, Paisley Suzanne Ayres, Jameson Trey Cox, Luke Asher Johnson, Will Bethea, Charlie Bethea, Dean Bethea and Lucy Bethea; and her close friend Betty Williams.
