Sara Carmichael Hopkins Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara Carmichael Hopkins (Dillon, South Carolina), who passed away on November 16, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Lee Carmichael and Zynetta Franklin Gressette Carmichael; her spouse Alvra Hopkins; and her siblings, Zynetta Post, Hubert, Lesesne and Marion Carmichael.

She is survived by: her children, Janice H. Welch of Florence, SC, Robert Lee Hopkins of Bishopville, SC and Michael Alvra Hopkins of Bennettsville, SC; and her brother Stuart Carmichael of Dillon, SC. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and ten great granddaughters.
