He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Douglas and Katherine Owens Lee; his wife Sonja Gaddy Lee; and his brothers, Harold, Bobby and Jimmy Lee.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Herndon (Lee) of Bennettsville, SC and Timmy Lee (Katie) of Florence, SC; his sisters, Carol Hamilton of Newnan, GA and Barbara Radford (Robert) of McDonough, GA; his grandchildren, Haley Sides (Luke), Peyton Herndon (Amber), Cameron Lee, Khloe Lee and Anniston-Kate Lee; and his great grandchildren, Tatum and Sailor Sides.
