He is survived by: his wife Lucinda Locklear of Maxton; his children, Nicholas Locklear, Robbie Douglas Summerford and Heather Marie Summerford; his grandchildren, Kiawah Serenity Locklear and Kenton Reid Summerford; and his siblings, Lynn Locklear, Michelle Johnson (Joe) and Miranda Locklear. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
