We bid farewell to Avanell G. Shuler (Duncan, South Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 15, 2025 at the age of 90. Avanell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Avanell has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lester O. Shuler; her parents, Albert Murphy and Mary Emma Borden Green; and her son Richard Lester Shuler. She is survived by: her children, Sandra Kaye Rumsey (Phillip) of Hendersonville, Randall Lee Shuler (Melesa) of Greer and Harley Ray Shuler (Tracy) of Lexington, Kentucky; and her sister Emogene Ivey of Florida. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wood Memorial Park (863 Gap Creek Rd, Duncan, SC 29334).
