It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary J. Holt (Duncan, South Carolina), born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Mary leaves upon our hearts remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by : her husband Walter Holt; her parents, Issac Odell and Inez Price Jones; and her former life partner Maxie W. Garrett. She is survived by : her son James M. Garrett (Tammy) of Greer; her grandson Christopher Garrett (Amiee); and her great grandchildren, Campbell Garrett, Waylon Garrett, Parker Dye and Wyatt Garrett.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Wood Memorial Park (863 Gap Creek Rd, Duncan, SC 29334).
