She was predeceased by: her father Elbert Harold Brown; her daughter Dee Annette Mayes; and her son-in-law Robert Mayes. She is survived by: her mother Mary Louise Penland Brown; her spouse Carrol Dean King; her children, Larry Daniel King (Ashley Faye), Samantha Dawn Jackson (Jerry) and Summer Armstrong (Christian); and her grandchildren, Lily Jackson, Emma King, Maggie Jackson, Daniel King, Isaiah King, Carson Armstrong and Eleanor King.
