He was predeceased by: his wife Gertrude "Trudy" Autry Prince; his parents, James Allen and Ocie Cooley Prince; and his siblings, Sallie Bell, Helen Eddelman, Jim and Ray Prince.

He is survived by: his son Michael Prince (Christiane Klier); and his grandchildren, Thomas Eric Allen Prince, Hannah Margarete Maria Prince and Louisa Anna Marie Prince.
