She was predeceased by: her husband Ray H. Carter; her parents, Clarence McJunkin and Barbara McJunkin; and her siblings, James McJunkin, Carl McJunkin and Judy McJunkin.
She is survived by: her children, Ric Carter, Danny Carter, David Carter (Tory) and Terry Slaughter (Steven); her grandsons, Ben Carter, Nicholas Carter and Alex Carter; her siblings, Betty Holden (Joe) and Donnie McJunkin; and her sister-in-law Betty Hunter (Harold). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
For many years, Mary bravely battled Alzheimer's. Though the journey was long and difficult, she continued to share her gentle smile and found joy in life's simple blessings, especially the sunny days that God gave her.
