Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mary Shirley Whelchel (Easley, South Carolina), born in Pickens, South Carolina, who passed away at the age of 83, on November 10, 2023. She was predeceased by : her parents, H. C. Shirley and Ellen Tate Shirley; and her brother Hugh Shirley. She is survived by : her husband George; her children, Mary Ellen Whelchel, Mark Whelchel of Liberty, Joe Whelchel (Allison) of Easley and Scott Whelchel (Dana) of Liberty; her grandchildren, Kristin Howard (Dylan), Cam, Seth, Nora, James, Sarah Grace and Eli Whelchel; and her great grandchild Finley Howard.
