With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Pansy Janette Smith of Easley, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 9, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Fields and Pansy Elizabeth Townes Cantrell; her husband Charles Melvin Smith; her siblings, Perry Boyce Cantrell of Wade Amos and Lilly Mae Miller; and her niece Teresa McConnell Williams.
She is survived by: her sisters, Patsy Julia McConnell, Nancy Cantrell McConnell and Rebecca Joyce Lay; and her nieces and nephews, Jason Harold McConnell (Susi), Roslyn Cantrell Holcombe (Chris), April McConnell Leland (Donnie), Reggie Cantrell (Jennifer), Clint McConnell Ciamelle Miller (Leigh), Richard Cantrell, Tunckie LeCroy (Sam) and Nathan Miller.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Janette to Hunts Memorial Baptist Church, located at 501 Alex Drive, Easley SC 29640.
