It is with sadness that the passing of Ray Sanders Clay of Easley, South Carolina is shared. Ray, born on January 29, 1946, passed away on September 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Ray will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Ray by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Ray is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Ray’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Brown Clay and Virgina Thomas Clay. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Brewer Clay; and his children, Teresa Smith Harachek (Bob) of Pine Key, Sandra Smith of Ocala, Marc Myers (Alyson) of Yuma, Arizona, Robin Miller of Easley and Alex Clay (Kristin) of Easley. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693).
