With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Brenda Gayle Spires of Eastover, South Carolina, who passed away on November 30, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Brenda is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Brenda's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond E. Dyches and Jennie Lou Dyches of Canaan. She is survived by: her sons, Kenny Link (Rachel), Raymond Link and Kevin Link (Evie); and her close friend Greg Nance. She is also survived by coworkers; and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home (1012 Whitman St SE, Orangeburg, SC 29115). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the NewSpring Church (1010 Old Two Notch Rd, Elgin, SC 29045). A burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery (4977 Cannon Bridge Rd, Cope, SC 29038).
