He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Altman Cumbee, Sr. and Rosa Ackerman Cumbee; his wife Mertice Gaskins Cumbee; and his siblings, Olin Cumbee, Altman Cumbee, Calvin Cumbee, James Cumbee and Mary Cumbee.

He is survived by: his daughter Sharon C. Fudge of Aiken, SC; his grandson Jeremy R. Fudge (Katherine) of North Augusta, SC; and his sisters, Cleva Mims of Hanahan, SC and Jessie Mae Bright of Newnan, GA..

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wrens Chapel United Methodist Church (1755 SC-45, McClellanville, SC 29458). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the same location.
