While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Lee Liles and Ocie Martin Liles; his wife Jo Ann Rainey Liles; and his pet Jessie. He is survived by: his sons, Jack Liles (Natalie) and Dan Liles (Trudy). He is also survived by three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Coastal Community Foundation or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
