It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Herndon of Edisto, South Carolina, born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, who passed away on September 26, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thurman Herndon Jr. and Phoebe Jane George Herndon. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Meg" Godwin Herndon; his children, Jay Herndon (Brook), Janelle Pusser (Thomas) and Erin Brock (Brandon); his siblings, Anne Oswald (Ned) and Larry Herndon (Karen); his father-in-law Robert A. Godwin; and his grandchildren, Lance Turner, Maggie Pusser, Peyton Brock, Cayden Pusser, Finn Brock, Lucy Herndon, Lyla Pusser, Sidda Leigh Brock and Luke Herndon.

Memorials may be made, to either the Edisto Beach Baptist Church, 414 Jungle Road, Edisto Island, SC 29438, or to the Edisto Island Mission Team, P.O.B. 193, Edisto Island, SC 29438.
