It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jimmy Vernon Horton of Effingham, South Carolina, born in Tatum, South Carolina, who passed away on May 22, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Horton and Bessie Jordan Horton; and his son Johnny Kevin Horton. He is survived by : his children, Jimmy Horton, Jr. (Tamara) of Florence, Chris Horton (Whitney) of Lumberton, NC. and Donna Horton (Bobby) of McColl; his siblings, Wilson Horton (Cheri) of Murrells Inlet, Donnie Horton (Joy) of McColl, Charles Horton (Shane) of Walterboro and Peggy Horton of McColl; and his close friend Sam. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
