He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Carter Kinard of Ehrhardt; his children, Valerie Kinard Murdaugh (Steve) of Walterboro and Michael Kinard (Melissa) of Branchville; his grandchildren, Matthew Murdaugh (Mikael), Brian Murdaugh, Jesse Murdaugh, Andrew Murdaugh, Casey Kinard Stroble, Kelsey Kinard Hackworth (Hunter) and Carley Kinard Watkins (Jacob); his great grandchildren, Cayson Stroble and Brooks Murdaugh; and his sister Joyce Mears Rucker (Steve) of Lexington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ursday Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Ehrhardt-Bamberg Chapel (2515 Low Country Hwy, Ehrhardt, SC 29081). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ehrhardt Baptist Church (427 Allen St, Ehrhardt, SC 29081).
