He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Alvoid Loyd and Lizzie S. Loyd (Pack). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Shope Lloyd; his children, Jackie Lloyd Brown (David) of Charlotte, NC and Jason Scott Lloyd (Erin) of Irmo, SC; his sisters, Mary Johnson of Asheville, NC, Cathy Coleman (Richard) of Asheville, NC and Angie Riddle (Charlie) of Asheville, NC; and his grandchildren, Colby Brown of Charlotte, NC., Caleb Brown of Charlotte, NC., Carissa Brown of Charlotte, NC. and Caroline Brown of Charlotte, NC.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel (7600 Trenholm Rd Ext, Columbia, SC 29223). The military honors was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
