He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Wilson Mills and Edna Marlowe Mills; his wife Virginia Allen Mills; his daughters, Sylvia Ann Norris and Janice Marie Rountree Stroud; his siblings, Binky Mills, Jerry Mills, Robert Mills, Cleopa Glasgow and Annette Mills; and his friend Rebecca Armstrong.

He is survived by: his daughters, Paula Lynn Miller of Lexington, Monica Lynn Mills of Eastover, Ginger Renee Dyer (Bruce) of Irmo and Marylynn Rickenbaker (Andy) of Orangeburg; his grandchildren, James Quincy Cooper (Brandi), Robert Blaine Cooper, Tiffany Paige Rickenbaker, Tina Michelle Rickenbaker, Jessica Ann Floyd, Wesley Osborne (Katherine), Paige Presler (K. C.) and Ashley Howard (Will); his brother David Mills of Rock Hill; his friends, Cindy, Eddie Terry and Liana Orr; and his caregivers, Megan Owens, Elizabeth Rogers, Priscilla Sanders, Ramona Still, Marie Walker and Maurice Walker. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
