He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Wingard Hood and Mack Nathan Hood; his brother Nathan Hood; and his brother-in-law Frankie Shuler. He is survived by: his wife Ethel Shuler Hood; his sons, Troy Hood (Michelle) of St. Matthews and Barry Hood (Ann) of Columbia; his grandsons, Justin Hood (Kailee), Tallon and Turner Hood; his siblings, Paul Hood (Susan), Michael Hood (Karla), Judy Matayabas (Wayne), Brenda Medlin, Maria Ketcherside (Jerry) and Rachel Owens; and his siblings-in-law, Joanne Hood, Janet Webb, James Shuler (Linda) and Ronnie Shuler (Shelvey). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
