With sadness, we share the passing of Lawton Clarke O'Cain of Estill, South Carolina. Lawton, born on June 23, 1939, passed away on July 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Adelson O'Cain; her parents, Carolyn Lawton Clarke and Charles Montague "Scooter" Clarke; her sister Carolyn Virginia Clarke "Boots" Adams; and her son Montague Clarke "Scooter" O'Cain.

She is survived by: her son Harold Adelson O'Cain, Jr. (Delson); her daughter-in-law Monica Sanders O'Cain; her grandchildren, Adams Clarke O'Cain, Graham Lawton O'Cain Carr and Lawton Sanders O'Cain; and her great grandchildren, Elly Rhea Carr, Easton Adams Carr and Leah Camille O'Cain.

In lieu of flowers, Lawton adamantly requested memorials be made to Patrick Henry Academy, 8677 Savannah Highway, Estill, South Carolina 29918.
