It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dessie Thompson Stevens of Fairforest, South Carolina, born in Greenwood, South Carolina, who passed away on July 6, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Thompson and Ruth Cogdill Thompson Buffington; her adoptive parents, Claude Thompson and Vonetta Thompson; and her siblings, Sylvia Cockrell and Roger Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband Frank B. Stevens, III; her sons, Tim Stevens (Jill) of Ninety Six and Brent Stevens (Lisa) of Greenwood; her siblings, Sadie Hamilton (Doug) of Greenwood, Tavy Thompson Bartley (Freddie) of Saluda, Clara Corley of Saluda, Edward Thompson of Greenwood and Larry Thompson (Nora) of Ohio; her grandchildren, Anna Grace Stevens, Brayden Stevens (Maddie), Trevor Culbertson (Brooke) and Lauren Green; and her pets, Sassy and Lily.
