She was predeceased by: her spouse Claude Boyde Smith; her parents, Wilbur A. Vause and Janie Olivia Weaver; her siblings, Wilber "Billy", Jacqulyn "Jackie" White and Jewel "Judy" Hanna; and her son Phillip Gregory.
She is survived by: her children, Barry Smith (Lynn) of Hickory, N. C. and Donna Sallenger (Joe) of Florence; her daughter-in-law Ann Smith of Florence; and her grandchildren, Adam Smith (Liz) of Asheville, N. C., Melanie Yengel (Doug) of Hartsville, Natalie Royall (Sean) of Boone, N. C. and Brian Smith (Katie) of Lexington. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Hospital for Children.
