We announce the death of Annette Hayes (Florence, South Carolina), who passed away on October 24, 2026, at the age of 80. Annette will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherrill William Caudle and Mary Carnell Caudle; her brothers, Donald Sherrill "Don" Caudle and Andrew Craven "Andy" Caudle; and her great grandchild Anakin Benton.
She is survived by: her children, Wendy Benton (Jeffery) of Murrells Inlet and Rock Hayes (Devona) of Tennessee; her grandchildren, Jessica, Dakotah Benton (Rikki), Brandon and Caitlin Hayes; and her brother Kent C. Caudle (Carolyn) of Florence. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews; and many supportive friends and neighbors.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery (100 Cherokee Rd, Florence, SC 29501).
Those wishing to honor Annette's memory may also consider making a memorial contribution to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at MUSC or to Greenwood Baptist Church.
