It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Brenda Mosier Douglass in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Tarleton Mosier, Sr. and Beulah Way Mosier Avinger of Sumter, SC.; her husband Rev. Carl Henry Douglass, Jr.; the father of her children Marion Leslie "Buddy" Atkinson; her siblings, Jean Maye Lane, Richard Henry Mosier and Herbert Allen Mosier; her stepdaughter Carol Jacoby; and her pet Sassy.
She is survived by: her children, Michael L. Atkinson (Jacque), Cynthia A. Hales of Timmonsville, SC, Sonya A. Secor (Dean) and Lynn A. Semones (Steve); her granddaughter Beth Atkinson-Muldrow (Steven); her daughter Roni K. Alwin (Rob); her blendeds, Brent Douglass, Carter of Staunton, John G. Douglass, Cindy of Richmond, Steve G. Douglass, Tammy of Leesburg, David Stafford, Sharon of Raleigh, NC, Andrew Stafford and Nikki of Raleigh, NC; her siblings, Gail Gressette-Jeffcoat (Johnny) and Rev. Eugene T. Mosier, Jr. (Jenny); her sisters-in-law, Janet L. Mosier and Marianne P. Mosier of Navarre, FL; and her caregivers, Joyce, Brenda, Sara, Bertha and Shanelle. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Concord Baptist Church (1885 Myrtle Beach Hwy, Sumter, SC 29153).
