He is survived by: his wife Sandra Mouzon Filyaw; his children, Charles Benjamin "Benji" Filyaw, Jr. (Lache), Denise Purcell (Williams) and Carole Anne Filyaw; his grandchildren, Katherine Purcell, Will Purcell IV, Briggs Filyaw, Luiza Filyaw, Austin Jeffords and Anna Filyaw; his great grandchildren, Macie Becker, Zander Becker, Clara Becker and Hudson Becker; and his brothers, Bobby Filyaw (Ruth) and Billy Filyaw (Kay).
