He is survived by: his wife Stella Hopkins Welch; his children, Dennis Welch of Florence, Beverly Gasque (Dale) of Mullins, SC, Debbie Smith (David) of Kingsport, TN, Donna Coleman of Florence and Renee Welch of Florence; and his sister Ethel Kinlaw of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
