He is survived by: his children, Gregory Mark Phillips, Lisa Carrier of Florence, Cindy Gibson (Matt) of Midland and Alison Nichols (Russ) of Annapolis, Maryland; his grandchildren, Caroline Mercer (Justin) of Baytown, William Carrier of Annapolis, Thomas Gibson, Zackary Hancock, III of Charlotte, Carolyn Dietz (Josh) and Josh Nichols (Tammy) of Roanoke, Virginia; his sister Clovis Steele of Lancaster; and his sisters-in-law, Faustina Mahaffey of Charleston and Judy Phillips of Jacksonville, Florida.
