She was predeceased by: her husband James R. Lewis; and her parents, Richard John Dority and Annie Lou Suggs Grooms. She is survived by: her children, Jessica Lewis (John Whitt), Richard Lewis (Brittany) and Jamie Dority; her siblings, Mary Lou "Lucy" Grooms (Richard) and Buddy Dority (Kimberly); and her grandchildren, Jeffrey Boone, Jr., Richard John Lewis, Jr. and Abigail Autumn Whitt.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Layton-Anderson Funeral Home (4210 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home (4210 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501). A burial will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at the Lake Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery (6568 Oates Hwy, Timmonsville, SC 29161).
