She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Thomas and Ila Zuline Alsbrooks Thomas; her son William David Ashley, III; her sister Lydia Kinard; and her grandsons, Patrick Preece and Austin Ashley.
She is survived by: her daughters, April Jones (Todd), Cassidy Welch and Tracy Preece (Charles); her grandchildren, Baylea Ashley-Hewitt, Houston Welch, Isla Jones, Rhett Jones and Gracyn Jones; and her sister Vonnie McKenzie.
