With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dottie Lane of Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on October 30, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Calcutt and Rosa Bell Hyman Calcutt; her husband James Albert Lane; and her siblings, LouQueen Hyman, Toby Calcutt of Dolan Calcutt, W. D, Thadis Calcutt, Donnie Calcutt, Viva C. Gamble and John B. Calcutt.
She is survived by: her children, J. Albert "Al" Lane, Jr. (Stacey), Dottie Wren Lane Vulcano, Susan Lorraine Lane Seabolt (David) and Mark Lane (Felicia); and her grandchildren, Brian Lane, Aleah Wolfe, Nick Vulcano, Jon Vulcano, Kristen Seabrook, Lane Seabolt, Tanner Lane and Tucker Lane. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home (512 2nd Loop Rd, Florence, SC 29505). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at the Florence National Cemetery (803 E National Cemetery Rd, Florence, SC 29506).
