It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie Mae Zimmon of Florence, South Carolina, born in Darlington, South Carolina, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Dewitt and Maddie Lucas Dewitt; her son Mark Alexander Zimmon; and her siblings, Nathaniel Dewitt, Helen Green, Janie Simon and Maggie Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Zimmon (Latrice), Kelvin Zimmon (Lachelle), Michelle Zimmon and Lamont Zimmon (Nova); her siblings, Mary Dewitt and Asberry Dewitt; her in-laws, James Zimmon (Johnnie Mae), Claire Wood (Donald) and Shirley Zimmon; her friends, Hanna Williams and Georgia Williams; and her daughter Shirmira Green. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.
